Hello Parma Middle School Families!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! The entire staff at Parma Middle School is eager to connect, teach, learn, and explore new things with your students! Middle school is a fun, exciting, and challenging time for families, which we are sure you already know :)

Please read the important updates, to-dos, and upcoming events below as you and your students prepare for our first day of school:

  • REGISTRATION - Happening NOW! Returning students can register (a) online by visiting parmaschools.org and clicking on the registration announcement or (b) by visiting the school Monday-Thursday between 8AM and 4PM any day this coming week. We would love to see all of our returning students complete this critical step by Thursday, August 10th if at all possible. If you have questions or need support, please call the main office at 208-779-4069.

    • Student schedules will be visible in PowerSchool once your student is registered.

  • OPEN HOUSE - Monday, August 14th, 4-6PM: You can finalize all registration tasks, pay fees, pick up a copy of your students’ schedule, test out lockers, and meet our amazing teachers.

  • FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Tuesday, August 15th: We will have a full day, starting at 7:50 and ending at 3:45. Buses will run their regular schedule and breakfast and lunch will be served.

    • Please ask your student to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for our first day. We will be doing some activities outside in the afternoon :)

    • We have a new parent drop-off and pick-up location for all middle school students in front of the new pickeball courts between the main office and the district office. Please watch your email for pictures and maps diagramming the traffic routes soon.

  • HANDBOOK: The student handbook had been updated. Please pay special attention to the electronic devices / cell phone policies to help your students understand our expectations during school hours.

Below is a letter to your students that our staff welcomes you to share with them. I have been in school since I was 5 years old (truly!) and middle school is my absolute favorite. I have spent the last 18 years in middle schools in some capacity, and each day has brought laughter and joy into my life. I am thrilled to spend Year #19 with you and your students.

Please reach out with any questions or needs as we approach our first day of school,

Hello Parma Middle School Students!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! The entire staff at Parma Middle School is very eager to connect, teach, learn, and explore new things with you. Middle school is a fun and exciting time, as it is a period of immense growth that presents unique challenges for all students.

We hope that you enter our doors ready to learn more about who you are, who you want to be, and what your strengths and passions are. We also hope you are willing to take risks, step outside of your comfort zone, be curious, fail sometimes, and learn to be patient with yourself and your peers as you all discover new strengths and passions this year.

Finally, we are ready for you to push your own learning and achievement to the next level. We have been planning and preparing our classes, projects, labs, and activities for you, and cannot wait to engage in all of it with you.

Be ready to build relationships, work hard, laugh often, and grow in all kinds of ways in 2023-2024!

See you very soon,

Mrs. Yundt and the entire Parma Middle School Staff
